Dorothy of Oz Movie

Dorothy of Oz is an upcoming animated musical movie sequel to the Wizard of Oz. The story centers on Dorothy Gale returning to a tornado-devastated Kansas and then being transported back to Oz to help her friends. It's based on the book Dorothy of Oz by Roger Stanton Baum, great grandson of L. Frank Baum, who wrote the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz book, and features now classic characters like the Scarecrow. The film is directed by Dan St. Pierre and the voice cast includes Lea Michele, Kristin Chenoweth, Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi, Kelsey Grammer, Martin Short, Oliver Platt, Megan Hilty, and Hugh Dancy. The movie Dorothy of Oz will likely get released in April 2012.

Plot:
"The story involves Dorothy and Toto returning to the land of Oz and reuniting with The Scarecrow, The Tin Man and The (formerly cowardly) Lion, in order to stop a mischievous Jester who has obtained the wand of The Wicked Witch of the West and is using it to turn the inhabitants of Oz into puppets."
